Good morning everyone, happy P day. This week was simply full of classes and devotionals, really not much going on. I've spent plenty of time in the rec room and gym. Turns out I'm terrible at ping pong but undefeated in chess so I'll take it.
I feel like this week my teaching skills have improved a whole lot as I am comfortable in all the areas I was struggling with only a week ago. Unfortunately this week was my turn to lock us out of our room, but we knew what to do this time haha.
We had a helping others appointment, which is basically a mock teaching appointment for those who don't know. Spent a while grinding to get ready for it and the topic was supposed to be about the plan of salvation, however the impersonator must have not remembered her script/background as we spent the whole 20 minutes talking about prophets instead haha. Walking out of it my companion and I thought we failed miserably, but when we got the scores 20 minutes later we got all sixes and sevens (per category the highest is a 7). So we're pretty glad it worked out.
Other than that the elders and I have been shotgunning drinks and eating cake in our free time (shoutout to Shelby for the cake and drinks haha) (also massive shoutout to Elder Stevenson for teaching us the ways of shotgunning).
Crazy that I've had two departure devotionals already, as I leave for Newport Beach tomorrow. Heading to the bus stop at 5:30 bright and early and will be in Newport by noon pacific time. Wild how fast and slow it's been as it's my last day here.
To view my mission photos you can join my album here, as I will continually be adding to it for the next 2 years: https://photos.app.goo.gl/NX71nG2Fzwt8bMdd8
