Happy Tuesday everyone! First email for the first week in the MTC and it's been great! The classes themselves have been great as I've grown spiritually more than I thought I would, and my teaching skills have improved exponentially. I've already taught a lesson and will teach another one tomorrow. And this last week was a special week to be here as all twelve of the apostles were here, and a member of the first presidency. According to everyone here it is super rare and special. My group and I left an hour early for the devotional just to get the closest seats possible, and we did get within the first few front rows. Elder and sister Caussè spoke and gave great talks. We sang We'll Bring the World His Truth, and they changed the lyrics from “we will be” to “we are now the Lords missionaries” which was super special as well. For a day or two we would see apostles walking around campus, outside of the devotional I saw elders Gong, Uchdorf and Rasband, which was great. Outside of the devotional it's really a repetition of classes and meals, which the meals are pretty mid to be honest. Bottomless rootbeer though which is great. My roommates are pretty chill though, it's 4 of us total, which is less than usual but it's been nice overall, we've all been getting pretty close. Its me, my companion Elder Stevenson, Elder Ahrennious, and Elder Hola. Same with the district as a whole, it's been really great getting to know everyone. I will admit that on the very first morning we went to shower when I hear Elder Hola yell in the bathroom “uh guys I slammed the door shut”, so we spent like an hour and a half figuring out how to get a spare key, which was a great start to our stay here. Honestly super uneventful other than that devotional and I don't even know what else to put, so I'll be seeing yall next week!
